We have seen an increase in cases of Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease (HFMD). This common childhood illness usually begins with fever, sore throat, and reduced appetite, followed by a rash or small blisters on the hands, feet, and mouth.
HFMD spreads easily through coughing, sneezing, contact with unwashed hands, or touching contaminated surfaces and objects.
To help prevent the spread:
Encourage frequent handwashing with soap and water.
Remind children not to share cups, utensils, or food.
Keep surfaces and toys clean and disinfected.
If your child develops symptoms, please keep them at home, contact our school nurse and schedule a visit with your pediatrician.
